I came across this picture on FB. The Santa Fe locomotive shops in San Bernardino, CA in 1973. My dad worked in a switch tower at that location during the 70's, and they had an open house event for employees and their families to tour the facilities. I remember being inside those shops as part of the tour.

The good old 1970's, when people earned a living from their jobs.
We don't even have rail around here anymore, they ripped out all the tracks decades ago. When I was younger we sat on a wooden platform on a trestle and watched trains go by.
