Verification Emails That Never Come

One of the companies I used in the house buying process last year wants me to signup on a document site in order for them to send me tax documents. So I reluctantly signed up for yet another online account. But the email verification email they allegedly sent never arrived after an hour, so I had them resend it, and it still hasn't arrived. I received other emails in the interim so everything is working on my end. They'll probably both show up tomorrow when they'll no longer be valid so I'll have to start over.

Add stupid shit like that to the list of things that waste your life. I remember around the time when Microsoft took over Skype, soon after, account recovery stopped working. Verification emails never came, so grandmas (well, me with them doing it, for expedience) had to create new accounts and re-establish all their friending etc. I dreaded time wasting crap like account recoveries. "I don't have a password, I just click Facebook"
