Snowmegaddon

Post by mlangdn »

It seems here in Western Ky, I am in the path of a possible snowmegaddon. Could be 14" possible with this system. Our last big one was 22" back in 2004. The good thing is the cold will prevent the possibility of sleet or freezing rain, so power outages should not be a major problem. On my country road, these idjits around here will probably crash a power pole in one of the many curves or ditches.

Its gonna be some three dog nights for a week or so.

We've been having a shitty winter here... high winds most all the time. If the wind dies down one day, it will be back up again before the next. It's been snowing shittily too.

I hate wind. Even on 90 degree+ days I don't like wind above 5mph. I'm a weirdo.....

Me too, I always hate when it's windy (and on 90 degree days I'm not going far from air conditioning anyway). Today is even worse... it's like minus everything out there with 60 km/h winds and feet of drifting snow (about 1 cm of new snowfall per hour, every hour, sort of thing). It's about -15C right now, projected to go down to -20ish. With the winds, that's deadly. I don't even have gear that can withstand that for long.

I haven't been out since last Wednesday. I've been meaning to go out for supplies but every day's been shitty, and now it's Nope-day again.
