Like Donald Trump, it will take me longer than 60 minutes to watch 60 minutes, as it is blocked for my country. (fucking control freak media, eh?)
I agree with the headline though, without guardrails, it's dangerous to program AI that could affect serious things.

In the original (1978) Battlestar Galactica theater movie and book, the Cylons were a biological race wearing metal armour. In the TV series that soon followed, they changed it so they were machines (I guess it makes the violence easier to pass back in those days lol)
Then that remake came out in the 2000's that was completely different. I couldn't get in to that series, it was drab and boring every time I tuned into it.
We're a long way from that kind of AI, but a modern day danger would be doing something like programming an AI to manage a power grid, or (more currently) insurance claims, even.

The BG reboot was a mixed bag, it had some good space battles, but there were also a lot of episodes I didn't like, and the ending was stupid. There are some sci-fi shows I like to re-watch, like Stargate SG-1 & Atlantis, The Expanse etc, but I've never fully re-watched the reboot of BG. I do on occasion re-watch some of the good episodes.

Those are all good shows, I wish I had the time and patience to watch them all again (or actually finish The Expanse).
I spend most of my leisure time gaming, and don't have much attention span to sit and watch a show without fidgeting. I watch shows on the TV when I see my nephew, we're usually watching a series. Right now that's The Blacklist, I love Raymond Reddington.
