That lady knows what she's talking about (and what not to talk about, as it's impossible to say). In this case Tyson doesn't (and he's being rather silly in this video).
It's possible under similar conditions that coding would be using DNA or a variant of it. After all, it's the same universe with the same elements. Also possible that other elements are more abundant than on Earth, with different precursors and conditions and different chemistry could arise.
Too bad we won't know in our lifetimes.

It's a strange compromise that our brains have to make, in favouring the right or left hand for dexterity. It's possible to train yourself to be proficient with both (and some people are naturally ambidextrous) so I'm not sure if it's hard coded.
