Windows 95 Release Day
I remember before I had a computer capable of running Windows 95 reading all about it in a computer magazine and how great it would be for DOS games with the way it could boot into "DOS mode" with customized Autoexec.bat and config.sys.

Re: Windows 95 Release Day
I loved Windows 95 original OEM release (once they started grafting shit onto it, A, B and especially C with the horrid USB stack added, it got unstable). It was a huge improvement at home, from the Windows 3.11 environment I hated at school.
(I was taking college courses... I did most of what I could from Unix and DOS word perfect etc. (at the time I called it "that Berkeley Unix", because that's what I saw flying by on the screen when PSX booting lol)
I also liked Windows 98 SE, that was a minor but good upgrade from 98.
