Re: Win11 update... had to happen sometime
So I was going through the settings in Windows 11's Notepad, and they have a setting for auto-correct. I disabled that, last thing I need is auto-correct changing my data. And they removed Wordpad. I discovered that this week, I had some RTF docs and could no longer open them locally. I could ...

I'm going to work on mine Saturday as well, not enough time during the week, or energy after a long workday.

My DMV Adventure
I finally got the DMV ordeal done and over with on my 3rd trip over there. I was there about 90 mins. They don't use eye charts like at every other DMV office I've ever been to, instead they use a viewer you look into similar to what an optometrist would use. Maybe they all do that now, my last DMV ...

Looks good. What I do to get Firefox to use my existing profile is rename it to the one it had just created but editing the .ini files works too. Gimp 3 seems a little better now than when it was first released.

Re: Crux Linux!
One idea I had when I was considering this previously was to add some files to the iso (in my case, my kernel and modules compiled in Slackware to expedite things) so that they'd be accessible during the installation.

Re: Raspberry Pi Radio
I'm not familiar with it but RaspArch might be a possibility until vanilla Arch has better support. I noticed they mention EndeavourOS, that one I used to run the X86_64 version of, it was pretty close to vanilla Arch with a couple additional repositories.

Yeah that first one is the one I got, $195 US. That 2nd one with the 64 GB SD card should be good for most uses and you could always get a bigger SD card later.

Re: Raspberry Pi Radio
I recently picked up a Raspberry Pi 5 with 16 GB RAM, I've been wanting to get one to check out and thought I'd do that before the tariffs potentially become a factor. They're said to be a huge improvement over the Pi 4's. I haven't gotten to it yet but I got it as a kit that includes a case. I'll ...

Re: Raspberry Pi Radio
With all the peripherals sticking out does look kind of funny :) It's a touch screen, but not really that useful for this.

Raspberry Pi Radio
I'm too far away to listen the LA talk radio station I've listened to since my 20's so that just leaves listening over the Internet. I wanted something low power that could be on all day in the background, like a radio. I looked into "Internet radios", but they all looked clunky to use and the ...

Notepad... why, just why. That should have been left as a simple text editor. They did fix it up so it could handle larger files already, nothing more needed to be done to it. Soon it's going to have AI buttons so you can chat with it, I'll bet.
Looks like you were right about AI coming to ...

Re: Internet Out
Service was finally restored mid afternoon and I managed to get 7 hours of work in before running out of steam. Re: Ublock Origin was blocking data feed on github webui
Something I'll keep in mind. I just checked mine, first I tried the Update Now, then I tried some in the list and some of them had updates despite having clicked the global Update Now button.
