Now here's some interesting news
Upstream Linux 6.11 Makes It Easy To Build A Pacman Kernel Package For Arch Linux

I personally don't care to have my kernel as a distro package (the only install target I have ever used is modules_install), but that's way cool that there's going to be a make target for Arch, like there is for rpm and deb. "make pacman-pkg"
I would imagine you'll still have to configure it a certain way with all the modules so the mkinitramfs hooks don't fail when installing the package etc.
