I don't even need to scan stuff for taxes anymore, tax time used to be the only time I needed to scan anything for the most part. Now everything is already in PDF format, and for the few things I need to sign, I just open it in Gimp, paste in my signature image (that I originally wrote back in the early 2000's) and save it as a PDF.
