I'm working New Years Day this year, it's a paid holiday so since I'll be working that day I'll get paid for two days. And in exchange for working on the holiday while everyone else is off, I'm taking Friday off using PTO. So 4 days of work, 3 days off, and paid for 6 days. And as a bonus, it's going to be a quiet day working tomorrow, no work emails etc. Wish I could do that every week

Know what I did for New Years Eve? I stayed home and played video games (like any other night). If it wasn't howling winter misery, I probably could have gone to hang out with my kin at my sister's place.

It'll be worth it to have Friday off, rather than a day off in the middle of the week, for sure. I hope it's an easy day (hope this doesn't jinx it lol) without network/portals being all fucked up and shit and nobody there to fix it.

It wasn't bad, though because of timing I started a new untouched day of accounts by myself making it all big exhausting high $ cases all day. Still beats working tomorrow

Ahh well, now you can enjoy the fruits of your labour... it's over and you get your bone (your day off) like a good dog.
