My oldest granddaughter is 28 and is on the autism spectrum. Her mentality is that of a nine year old. She had all the childhood shots.
My son-in-law got the Johnson & Johnson covid vaccine and suffers from unexplained facial swelling that threatens his breathing and requires an ER visit each time it occurs. Has to have industrial strength benadryl and steroid treatments. Usually good to go in a few hours. All the rest of us got the Phizer two shot regimen with the third booster. My wife and I still got what was called "break through covid".

Did the vaccines cause this in my family members? Don't know and neither do the doctors in both of these cases.

Does that mean RFK is right? Nope - not in either of my family's cases. However, it doesn't mean he is totally wrong. Someday, we'll know the cause. Maybe not in my lifetime, but someday. I'll listen to any voice, but rarely will I totally dismiss an opinion.

Well... I will totally dismiss Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s opinions because they have no basis in science. I mean, in the original definition of "opinion" that implies knowledge and/or expertise, not the modern day definition where everybody has a right to one. Even a broken clock can be right once a day though on some issue, but he's just not a trustworthy source of medical information.

I'm sorry to hear about your family's difficulties.

I've not heard of anyone getting the Johnson and Johnson shot here, we've only had Moderna and Pfizer available as far as I know. The vaccines have certainly made it much safer to go out and about here, though. It's not 100% assured in the case of Flu or Covid vaccines, as they may not match the strains. It provides partial immunity in that it can reduce the severity if you do get sick.

Some people do have trouble with vaccines, but the vast majority do not. Generations of kids have been getting the regimen of shots. Those diseases of yore were almost unheard of until people stopped getting vaccinated. Now we're worried about Measles again. There have been Polio cases too.

You can't say that there is 0 chance of vaccines causing harm though. People's own immune systems can become their enemy. Also, there's preparation and handling to consider. Some people aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer and there could be contamination etc. unbeknownst to anyone.

In some people they aren't as effective either as it relies on the immune system to actually make, and deploy the antibodies. My mother got covid once, she almost never goes out. I'd count one trip to the grocery store within its lifecycle where she may have gotten it. She was fully vaccinated for the second year and still got it. She wasn't horribly ill though. None of us got it, we weren't sick and tested ourselves every day. (my sister got us a supply of the current testing kits through her school where she taught, they were handing them out like candy, take all you need)

Perhaps no vaccine maker has been hit harder by the federal policy changes than Moderna. Mr. Kennedy has repeatedly questioned the safety and effectiveness of the technology around which the company has built its business. The technology, known as messenger RNA, or mRNA, instructs the body to produce a fragment of a virus that then sets off an immune response. It can be more quickly tailored and manufactured compared to traditional approaches.

Last week, the Food and Drug Administration refused to review Moderna’s mRNA flu vaccine, saying its research design was flawed.

The health officials’ decisions are a striking departure from President Trump’s first term, when the federal government funded and shepherded Moderna’s Covid vaccine. The company’s stock price has plummeted more than 90 percent since its peak in August 2021, erasing about $180 billion in market value.
The federal vaccine policies coupled with declining demand for Covid shots have translated into hard times for Moderna.

Last year, the company laid off more than 800 workers, a tenth of its work force. It also lost more than $700 million in contracts to develop a shot to protect humans against bird flu after the Trump administration canceled the agreements. And the company shelved vaccines to protect against herpes, chickenpox and shingles.
Moderna plans to continue late-stage studies of mRNA products for cancer. But citing the Trump administration’s stance, the company is pausing late-stage development of shots to prevent infectious diseases and infections that lurk in the body.

For example, Moderna has halted preparatory work for large late-stage clinical trials of vaccines to prevent and treat Epstein-Barr, a common virus that may be linked to multiple sclerosis. The vaccines had shown promise in early studies.

In several cases, the Trump administration’s policies have impeded the president’s often-stated goal of bringing pharmaceutical manufacturing and its accompanying jobs back to the United States.

Last week, Moderna announced a manufacturing deal with Mexico.

Companies just need to move the fuck out of the U.S. A mass exodus from fascism. Moderna could do research in Canada

Trump isn't actually trying to create jobs, that's just a lie. He's trying to destroy America so he can rule over the ashes. A fearful, subservient population is what they want.

Traitors and saboteurs, this regime.

Pfizer is cutting back also as the demand for covid vaccines and Paxlovid have declined precipitously. Each has other projects ongoing and what they are doing is easily searchable. Research alone does not pay the bills. It takes manufacturing to pay the bills. Pfizer and Moderna both have a massive world-wide footprint. Cuts for both are across the globe. I seriously doubt RFK's influence extends much beyond the US border.

I hate these people so much, they just sicken me. Kennedy is fucked in the head, but the Trump admin wants to kill vaccinations just to steal nickels and dimes from the American people.
