There has been a trend in laptops not having Ethernet ports the last several years, but that's not the only thing disappearing. It seems to be following the similar trend in phones.

I absofuckinglutely would not buy a laptop without ethernet, or regular USB ports. As if I'm going to spend a thousand bucks on something that's going to go in the trash if the wifi isn't working etc.
