Work Education Site

I don't know what it is about the education site at work but it's always a fight to get into it, it's been that way for years. I completed one of the yearly required classes last weekend after the usual struggle to sign in. None of my multiple saved links worked, I finally got in from a recent email link. I was planning to complete the other one this weekend so I tested the same link that worked last weekend, but all I got was a "500 Internal Server Error". I didn't think anything of it at first, but two days later it's still broken. The education dept email about this 2nd class (their link goes to a server error too) said I have until December 31st, though when I was in the site last weekend it said it wasn't due until February. And since last year they have been using an overseas company in India to nag - they set their own due dates that are always very short notice, this class I'm trying to take they're saying it's due Saturday. They've been addressing the wrong person in their emails, I let them know that, as well as the real due date set by my company, but they just resend the same email with my correct name, and the same due date of Saturday, ignoring what I told them about the correct due date. I think they were hired to get people to comply with the education requirements and so they lie about the due dates in an attempt to get it done sooner so that they look good. I do like to get this stuff out of the way but I hate all the nagging from these people and being lied to, with them claiming something is due with short notice.

Which is why I'm glad to be retired. Sara Lee had adopted the continuous improvement model of Kaizan. Later, Sara Lee sold off its bread division to Bimbo Bakeries USA. Same stuff, different name. Bimbo (which means loosely "Teddy Bear" en espanol) in 2016 is where I first heard about DEI. We actually were sent to workshops for a week twice a year where we learned to hug it out, shake hands, and use inclusory language. According to the Oxford Dictionary, inclusory is only used fewer than 0.01 occurrences per million words in modern written English.

I retired in 2018 - with what little bit of sanity I have left. Inclusory is not a magic word. It actually led to exclusory.

Another thing I have to put up with on my work laptop.

It also gets in the way every time I have to go to Onedrive to open documents in Office365 - "Talk to Copilot!". They just keep pushing that.

I'd probably have to click "Chat Now" and tell it to Fuck Off. :-)

I think the best you can do with that shit ass thing is to Stop and Disable it in Apps. I don't think there's an Uninstall button as they have intertwined it with other services.

If Google let people uninstall it, everyone probably would! :fuckyou:

You were right - no way to uninstall. However, disabling was easy finger press.

This is what I had to deal with the last few hours of my work day today. This was coming from the EMR server. I'd never be caught using a fugly white theme like that  I figured out it was being triggered only by scanned images, any time I opened one those that message would popup and not with regular documents (the majority of the documents aren't scanned). Their messaging system was also broken tonight (I use that whenever I have to send a message to the doctors for missing documents etc). It was harmless though, I just had to move the popup window out of the way until I was done with the document (it would just immediately reappear if I closed it with the offending document still open). I just wanted to finish out my day and start the weekend :)

"If you click Continue" - um, there was no "Continue" to click. Those red boxes at the bottom were non-functional

I hate that .Net Framework rubbish. Back when I still had Windows there weren't that many applications that used it. Now, a lot of shit plugs into it, even QT on Windows.

Working in a remote session like that bites the weenie too.
