Currently I only have two forum styles, DGFX (current dark one, addon) and Prosilver (forum default light one)
Unfortunately DVGFX is fixed width, I like the style but I don't like that. If I can find a nice dark one that isn't fixed width I'll install it.
I made DVGFX the default style, because I'd rather unregistered visitors see that, but it can be changed to Prosilver in the User Control Panel on the board preferences tab. At least that one isn't fixed width.
P.S. Fuck, even prosilver is fixed width now. It wasn't in the past. Authoritarian prickery... to homogenize things for everyone. Wide screen PC users be damned. I'm going to install some non-fixed width styles.
Further, I'm not fixated on phpBB. I just installed it to have something here. It could change if desired.

Re: Styles
Fuck it... I decided to just hack the style. DVGFX is no longer fixed width.
(hopefully that doesn't cause any unforeseen problems lol)
Some browsers (e.g. firefox) are sticklers for refreshing CSS, so refreshing the page may not be enough. Browser cache may need to be cleared to flush out the old .css

Re: Styles
<shift> <refresh button> seemed to work fine in my Firefox
Re: Styles
I've not heard of that, does it force all elements to reload?
Re: Styles
I also made a copy of the forum's default prosilver style, and edited and installed it as prosilver-wide
So if anyone wants a light them, there's both fixed width and wide.
I'll do the same with DVGFX, I'll create a fixed one for non-default, DVGFX-fixedwidth

Re: Styles
It's just the old force reload control, nothing special.
Shift + F5 does the same thing on Chromium.

Re: Styles
Shift/reload worked for me as well in FF.

Re: Styles
I found <shift> + <F5> doesn't work in FF for forcing a page refresh, instead it opens a dialogue to take a screenshot. To force refresh it's <shift> + click the reload button. I'm used to it now but it was a pain when I switched over from Chromium after they blocked it from using Chrome accounts for synchronising across devices.
Re: Styles
I just came here with Firefox for the first time since (was using LibreWolf) and I still had the fixed width. So I did Shift+Refresh and that worked.
Re: Styles
Just a bump to make sure folks know they can change their board style.
I have the dark coloured, non-fixed width style as the default, but there's also a fixed width variant, as well as both fixed and wide for the light one. Go to User Control Panel and Board Preferences
