Sites Down Today

I went to check Arch's site before updating, but they're down. I verified it with some of those 'is it down' sites. One showed several other sites were also down, including twitter and paypal. I guess a holiday is a good time for botnet activity. I heard that Steam was down this morning, they're back up now.

That sounds more like a major cloud provider down or something.

The Arch site is back up now. I was curious so I checked their forums:

I wonder if it actually is an "attack" they were experiencing or just prolongued distributed botnets like we were having. It is certainly very much like a DDOS (and I thought so for a while).

Yeah that may indeed be what's actually happening.

They are down again.
